It combines elements of paint-by-numbers and cross-stitch, but uses diamond drills instead of paint or thread.
Is diamond dot painting suitable for beginners?
Yes. Diamond dot painting is beginner-friendly and requires no prior artistic experience.

What measurements do you use for the print dimensions?
Our Diamond-Dot Painting® prints are measured in centimeters. The size stated on the box and website will indicate the PRINT size and not the entire canvas altogether.
Please note that our prints may have a 1-2 cm difference depending on design and bead size.
How do I preserve my completed Diamond-dot Painting?
You can find a sealant at any art or hobby shop. Diamond-dot Painting has their own sealant that is sparkle-friendly.

You can also frame your completed Diamond-Dot Painting® and put it behind glass. It will still retain the shimmery effect when behind glass.
What is the difference between partial designs and full designs?
A partial design means there is one specific area on the print that you will have to dot. A full design will require you to dot the entire print.

Why is the colour on my diamond painting print slightly difference to the colours on your website?
This has to do with the type of screen you were looking at the image on. Screen resolution (the clarity of the screen) determines how the image colours will be displayed.
For accurate colours, look at the picture from a smart device or a screen with a very good resolution.
Are all diamond dot paintings the same quality?
No. Quality depends on canvas clarity, adhesive strength, drill consistency, and colour accuracy. Diamond Dot Painting® focuses on high-quality materials to ensure better alignment, durability, and visual results.
What types of diamond drills are used?
Diamond Dot Painting® kits use resin drills designed for durability and sparkle. Drill shape (round or square) depends on the specific product.
Do the diamonds fade over time?
Resin diamonds are colourfast and do not fade under normal indoor conditions. Finished artworks should be kept out of direct sunlight to preserve longevity.

Can I create a custom diamond dot painting from my own photo?
Yes. Diamond Dot Painting® offers personalised designs created from customer-supplied images, subject to image quality requirements.
What photo quality is needed for a custom design?
High-resolution images with good lighting and clear subjects produce the best results. Blurry, dark, or low-resolution images may affect final quality.
How long are personal images stored?
Can custom orders be returned or refunded?
Ordering and Payment
How do I place an order?
Orders are placed securely through the Diamond Dot Painting® website. Once checkout is completed and payment is confirmed, the order enters processing.
When will I receive my Diamond-dot Painting kit?
You should receive your purchase within a week. Custom diamond paintings take about 3 weeks (excluding courier time). This will be through either Courier Guy or GlobeFlight. We may use another courier company if we choose to. This will be communicated with you.
Do I have to purchase my Diamond-dot Painting kit on your website?
There are a number of stores and agents that stock Diamond-Dot Painting®. Contact us at queries@diamondotpainting.co.za to find out if there is a shop near you that stocks our kits.

No, you do not have to pay import fees or duties. Diamond-dot Painting is based in South African and therefore you only pay the courier fee.
